A young Julie Andrews with Oscar Hammerstein, one of the two creators of The Sound of Music, rehearsing for their TV musical, Cinderella, which was broadcast live in America back in 1957. He didn’t live to see the Sound of Music’s cinematic success, but it’s certainly a nice even if sad compensation by life that he at least worked with her and got to see her talent that greatly contributed to SOM’s phenomenal success later on.
